You're Never Too Busy For Good Health

I’ve gotten this question so many times: "How do I do all that I do?!" Honestly sometimes I’m not even sure how I do it. One thing that has helped immensely is, as you could guess, time-management skills. I try to utilize every second in my day and don’t let the days slip away from me. My days are JAM packed, but at the end of the day it’s so satisfying knowing how much I was able to get done.

Time management is CRUCIAL, but I also get by with a little extra help coffee and the best nutrition possible. ;)

And this is where another frequently asked question comes into play: “How do you have time to be so healthy?”

I’m not going to sit here and tell you being healthy in college doesn’t take a little extra planning or work, but I am going to tell you that you’re never too busy for good health. Never. I don’t care what your excuses are. IT. IS. POSSIBLE. I’m a full-time student, hold a position in my sorority, exercise, run this blog (duh), cook all my own meals, work AND still have time to hangout with my friends.

I feel like when most people get super busy they let their health slide, but honestly staying so on top of my health is what helps me be able to do everything I do because I always have energy, I rarely get sick and I’m able to get up and at it every single day. When you feel good, you’re able to get SO much more done!

I make time each day to make nutrient-packed meals to fuel me through my day and I ALWAYS have healthy snacks on hand (see some of my favorites here!). But I’m going to be honest, some days are busier than others and it does get difficult to make sure I’m getting in all of the greens, vitamins, super foods, fruits, veg, etc. that I normally do. And that’s where Amazing Grass comes in (insert 5oo heart-eye emojis).

I’m literally OBSESSED with this company’s products. I stumbled across them at Whole Foods last year and tried their chocolate green superfoods powder and instantly got hooked. They make it SO easy to pack in TONS of all the healthy goods (while still tasting amazing). Let me just name a few of the ingredients: wheat grass, alfalfa, broccoli, spinach, chlorella, spirulina, cacao, acidophilus, flax seed, beet, acai, green tea…. AND THAT’S ONLY SOME OF THEM. Oh and did I mention all of the ingredients are organic?! I just add one little scoop (or mini-packet – perfect for on the go!) to my smoothies, protein oatmeal or yogurt and I’m good to go.

They just came out with new superfood bars too and those REALLY make life easy on hectic days. Their bars pack in just as many greens and superfoods, which make my life a breeze. On days that I need to run out the door I can grab one of these bars and know I’m still getting in all of the nutrients my body needs to power through all of my classes, meetings and work. I’m super picky when it comes to bars, but these pass my test. My favorite flavor? Original greens! (I know, I’m boring… but it’s a nice switch up from my typical peanut butter RX or raw rev glo bars)

And don’t even get me started on their protein powder. You’ve probably noticed I’m a die-hard Vega fan, but Amazing Grass may have them beat (especially with their peanut butter chocolate flavor). Their protein powders are made from a blend of chia, hemp, pea and quinoa protein and have two servings of fruit and veggies in each scoop. PLUS they have all of those greens and superfoods I mentioned before too. So not only are you fueling your body with a quality, organic protein source, but you’re also packing in a bunch of vitamins and minerals. I LOVE using this protein powder in my breakfasts when I know I’m going to have a crazy busy day because I know it’s fueling my body in so many ways and really starts my day off on the best food possible.

So YES life gets busy, especially in college, but staying healthy no matter what should always be a priority, even if that just means stocking up on healthy products that make life easier. Fuel your body with wholesome foods like these products and you’ll be surprised how much better you feel and how much more energy you have.
