Some days ulcerative colitis makes me want to cry because I’m sad and exhausted. Some days it makes me want to hide in my dark room because I’m anxious, self conscious and afraid. Some days it makes me want to punch a wall and scream because I’m frustrated and angry.
•••
But even when I want to cry, hide and scream I remind myself that I’m STRONG as hell. I remind myself how FAR I’ve already come and how much I’ve already gotten through. I remind myself to keep fighting for myself and for all of YOU who also struggle. I remind myself that bad days happen. Sad days happen. Scared days happen.
•••
And all I can do is cry, hide and scream, but then dust myself off and get back up and fight HARDER. And you can too 💛 Whatever you’re going through - be it chronic illness, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, grief, loss and everything in between - know that it’s okay for the bad days to happen. and it’s okay to *embrace* those bad days. So cry, scream, hide (whatever you need!!!) but remember that you WILL have good days again too. I promise. 💛

dEATS 👉🏻 my paleo cacao cauli oats (recipe on my website) made with homemade cauli rice + @foursigmatic cordyceps (use code “plentyandwell” for 10% off) + @vitalproteins collagen + organic @sunbutter + a chunk of @eatingevolved midnight dark chocolate 😋
XO nat
Honestly though - those are the type of hype girls we ALL deserve in our lives 👏🏻 Take this as your reminder to surround yourself with people who support your dreams, lift you higher and add pure joy to your life ✨ Nobody’s got time for negativity or people who make us question our ice cream choices 😉
•••
Also take this as you’re reminder to ~protect your energy~ sweet friends. We can spend our days using nontoxic products, meditating on self love and fixing our own relationships with food, ourselves, etc. but if we allow negative people into our lives, those efforts will only be slowed 🙅🏼‍♀️
•••
You deserve a life overflowing with genuine, authentic love (and all the scoops of ice cream) - trust me 💛 Let your gal pals know you love them below 😘

Keeping that self love on HIGH today. Who's with me!? My friend @livingminnaly shared something that really resonated with me on Valentine’s Day about how you deserve self-love EVERY day. Yes, Valentine's Day is a fun reminder to share extra love with ourselves and others, but let's not forget about that love the other 364 days each year. Self love is a constant, daily choice to take actions that align you with yourself, your soul and your purpose.
•••
How do I like to take action form a place of self-love each day? By moving my body, speaking kindly to myself, surrounding myself with good people and vibes and nourishing my body with healthy foods. And this cacao açaí bowl? The PERFECT way to do-so.
•••
I tried a new açaí brand @acaiofamerica and instantly fell in love with their unsweetened packets made with 100% organic açaí berries. I've loved açaí for quite some time, but I especially love and respect that this company is SO dedicated to using only the best berries that they get directly from the Amazon. So why açaí? It's full of antioxidants, dietary fiber, fatty acids and even omega 3's! Now THAT's the perfect ingredient for a superfood smoothie if you ask me.
•••
dEATS: 1 packet @acaiofamerica açai + 1/2 frozen banana + 1 1/2 Tbsp raw cacao powder + 1 tsp spirulina.+ 1 Tbsp almond butter + handful kale + 1 scoop collagen + water to blend

Because for every one of THESE photos... there’s about a million of THOSE ➡️😂 (keep reading for a BIG SURPRISE 🥳!!!) If my high school self knew I’d be posting embarrassing photos of myself to over 30 thousand people I would have closed my eyes, crossed my fingers and prayed to be swallowed whole by the floor 🤞🏻
•••
The biggest difference between 16, 17, 18, 19 even 20-year-old nat and now 23-year-old nat? a whole heck of a lot of SELF LOVE that allowed me to gain the CONFIDENCE to share things like this. I used to look in the mirror and hate was I saw. I used to be embarrassed that I was different. I used to feel unworthy and unlovable. I used to seek approval and validation from everyone else besides from the ONE person that mattered most - myself.
•••
For years I lived in the shadows of my own fears, self-criticism and judgement. Who can relate? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Well let me tell you. Unconditional self-love is possible and you’re WORTHY of finding it. You’re worthy of committing to yourself and shedding the fear, criticism and hatred. You’re worthy, okay? 💛
•••
That’s why I created my 25 DAYS OF GUIDED SELF LOVE COURSE now available on my website!!! 🥳 it’s 10% off today ONLY so snag it at a discount while you can! Each day focuses on a new topic of self love to help you dive deep and uncover what’s standing in your way and to help you grow in self-love and confidence. And what better time to commit to yourself and self-love journey than on Valentine’s Day? 😉 I created this course because I want ALL of you to feel in love with yourself and life 😌 Head to the link in my bio to read more!!

Ok so apparently it’s Galentine’s Day and apparently that’s a REAL day!? Y’all I always thought it was just a funny term single ladies used ON Valentine’s Day. Man the things you learn from Instagram 😂
•••
So anyways - happy Galentine’s Day to all of the amazing women out there (and those who identify as female)!!!! ❤️ Feeling so blessed each and every day to be surrounded by such powerful, creative, bada** women - from mamas to entrepreneurs to those of you who have side hustles as well as 9-5s. I see your hard work and you amaze me day in and day out.
•••
So let’s spend this Galentine’s Day celebrating ourselves - celebrating our hard work, our bada**ness (yes. that’s a word 😉), our determination, our accomplishments, our unwillingness to let our dreams slip away. I tagged some of y’all that inspire me endlessly (but I wish I could tag you ALL).
•••
Galentine’s and Valentine’s Day is all about love - so let’s show ourselves a little more SELF love the next two days, okay? 🥰 (starting with making these paleo almond butter chocolate chunk cookies from the blog 😉)
XO nat
T-minus 2 days until Valentine’s Day!! When you think of Valentine’s Day what do you think of? Oh… love? I was going to say chocolate. 😉
•••
Either way, these COCONUT COFFEE NUT BUTTER CUPS are the PERFECT way to show yourself and your loved ones a bit more love this week 💛 They’re simple as could be and made with dark chocolate, nut butter, organic @wildharvest unsweetened coconut flakes, as well as their organic fair-trade decaf coffee. I was SO excited when I saw that Wild Harvest had organic AND fair trade coffee because not only is that better to consume, but it’s better for the workers as well. And that’s a win-win in my book! 💃🏼
•••
These cups are also a win-win because they show that eating healthy can be delicious AND nourishing 😌 There’s no need to compromise honoring sweet cravings and keeping your body and gut healthy with these in hand. 👏🏻 Make sure to snag the recipe on my blog (linked in my bio!). Happy Tuesday sweet friends!!
XO nat #freefrombad #sponsored
I mean... who agrees? 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ Wishing you all the BEST Monday (full of almond butter of course 😉) XO

Slow like (a snowy) Sunday morning ✨ I’ve gotta admit... sleeping in and waking up to a winter wonderland is good for the soul 😌
•••
At first I was a grumpy grumpy gal about the snow (sometimes I still am - I’m working on it). I didn’t want to be stuck in my house. I didn’t want to have to do at-home workouts for who knows how long. I didn’t want my plans with friends to be ruined.
•••
But then I realized all of these things I “didn’t” want to do were the silliest things to stress and worry over. Because what’s the point in worrying, stressing about it being frustrated over things we can’t change? 🤷🏼‍♀️
•••
Because unless you CAN change the circumstance, you can’t relieve that stress, worry or frustration through action. All it does is fester inside of you and and create a whole lot of negativity that could otherwise be avoided by simply choosing to break yourself free from fear/stress/worry and instead lean into the things you can’t change ✨
•••
And, because one of the best things I can do for my UC is keep the ~stress~ low and calm, relaxed vibes HIGH, I’m going to sit here with thick af cauli “oats” (recipe on the blog), @foursigmatic mushroom coffee and stare at the beautiful world around me 😌 what’s something you’ve been stressing over and need to let go?
XO nat
